The legend of the Sociedad del Huelén
Santiago has an iceberg. Seven layers deep.

You run a tiny channel about urban legends: thirty-eight views on your last video. Then, one winter night in Barrio Yungay, an envelope slides under your door: a hand-drawn iceberg of Santiago's secrets, the lower layers scratched out, signed in green ink by a woman who vanished six months ago.
Her name is Ofelia Lagos, Grand Keeper of a tiny, slightly ridiculous society of amateur occultists. Her friends want her back, a smooth collector wants her secret, and a black street dog called Cholito seems to know the way. To find her, you'll have to go all the way down.

Explore secret Santiago
One winter week, real places, the legends people tell about them.

Barrio Yungay
Your flat, old houses, red buses in the rain. Where the envelope arrives.

Palacio Cousiño
French furniture, the first elevator in Chile, and a lady people say still walks the halls.

Iglesia de San Agustín
Home of the Cristo de Mayo, whose crown of thorns slid down in the 1647 earthquake and was never put back.

Calle San Diego
Used bookshops, dust and sopaipillas. Ask for Don Evaristo.

Cerro Santa Lucía
The Huelén, a sacred hill before the city was founded. People say there are tunnels underneath.

Plaza de Armas
The heart of Santiago. Some say it hides something much older than the city.
Meet the Sociedad del Huelén
Harmless, eccentric, and very bad at keeping secrets.

Vale
The Augur
Tarot reader in a Lastarria café. Sharp tongue, silver rings, softer than she lets on.

Tomás
The Measurer
Astronomy student and the society's skeptic. Corrects every legend, then admits the facts are better.

Don Evaristo
The Archivist
78, bookseller on Calle San Diego, Ofelia's uncle. Rambles, whispers, feeds everyone.

Hermana Clara
The Keybearer
Ex-nun turned locksmith. "God opens doors; I open the rest."

Cholito
Street dog
Black, scruffy, one ear up, green bandana. Always knows the way.

Rodrigo Valenzuela
The rival
Collector, charming, never raises his voice. He thinks secrets are assets.
The iceberg is waiting. How deep will you go?

- Five puzzles along the way: spot what's wrong in an 1890s photograph, turn a brass cipher wheel, match carved symbols, cross a tunnel by flashlight, read the sun over the Andes
- THE WORLD: dozens of icebergs of legends, folklore, haunted places, cryptids and unexplained mysteries from cities and countries worldwide, from London to Japan, built from Wikipedia and Wikidata and refreshed every week
